Does this work with prop firm accounts?▼
Yes. Prop firms on Tradovate (Tradeify, Apex, Lucid and more) connect with your normal Tradovate login, with no extra fee. Prop firms on Rithmic (MyFundedFutures, Take Profit Trader, Bulenox, Apex and more) connect with the Rithmic login your firm gives you. Topstep accounts connect through TopstepX with a ProjectX API key. Always check that your prop firm allows automated trading.
Do I need to be a developer to use this?▼
Not at all. If you can set up a TradingView alert, you can use CopyTrade. The setup guides walk you through every step in plain language, and most setups take just a few minutes.
Are my login details stored securely?▼
Yes. Broker passwords, API keys and sign-in tokens are encrypted with AES-256 before they're stored, and two-factor login is available on every plan. Tradovate accounts connect through Tradovate's own login page, so CopyTrade never sees your Tradovate password.
What happens if the server goes down during a trade?▼
Your stop loss and take-profit orders are placed at your broker the moment you enter, so they stay in place even if CopyTrade is offline. Only the move to breakeven after TP1 needs CopyTrade running. CopyTrade runs 24/7 and restarts automatically; copytrade.trade/status shows whether it's up right now.

How fast does the copy execute?▼
Every account gets its order at the same time, as soon as TradingView's alert reaches CopyTrade. Accounts that share one Rithmic login go one after another on that login. TradingView itself can take a few seconds to send an alert.
Can I run more than one strategy?▼
Yes. Put accounts in groups on the Accounts page and add the group to each strategy's alert message, for example "group": "nq-scalper". Each strategy then trades only its own accounts, all from one webhook. Alerts without a group trade every switched-on account.
Can it avoid trading during big news releases?▼
Yes. Switch on the news pause and CopyTrade stops new trades for the minutes you choose before and after the US jobs report, CPI, PPI, GDP, PCE, retail sales and Fed rate decisions. Open positions keep their stops, or CopyTrade can close its open trades when the pause starts. Trading resumes on its own.
Can each account use its own size and trading hours?▼
Yes. Each account can have its own multiplier, trade the opposite direction, and have its own trading hours in Eastern Time, for example only from 9:30 to 11:30 ET. Outside an account's hours, alerts are skipped for that account only.
